This glossary is provided by the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM) as a tool to enhance the basic understanding of terms frequently used by those working in the field of blood management.
No single resource was consulted or referred to as a standard but rather a number of resources were consulted for accuracy of statement by experts in the field. This glossary is peer-reviewed and is a work-in-progress as we expect growth in volume and content.
If you have questions about a definition or want to add to the glossary, please submit in writing to the Online Educational Content Work Group at OECWG@sabm.org.
