SABM Spotlight

This past May marked the 20th annual conference of the Network for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management, Haemostasis and Thrombosis, a large European scientific society whose mission is enhancing patient outcomes through optimal anemia and coagulation management. SABM joined this conference, represented by Aryeh Shander and Sherri Ozawa.

Dr. Shander delivered a key and provocative lecture on PBM as a Standard of Care, in direct response to the recent JAMA publication on this subject. An exciting development at this meeting was the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations, with plans and agreement to share resources for international education, research, and collaboration.
