News & Events
The SABM Choosing Wisely® Task Force and Board of Directors has continued its work in preparing and submitting statements and evidentiary materials to the National Campaign for their review and input. We look forward to sharing more updates in Portland at the Annual Meeting.
Similarly, the 4th Edition of PBM Standards will be published in 2017. The addition of neonatal and pediatric standards truly places SABM as the leader in PBM.
Congrats to our SABM colleagues who served on the International Hemostatic Expert Panel with publication of “The use of topical hemostatic agents in cardivascular surgery”, Ann Thorac Surg, 2017; (doi: 10.1016/j.athracsurg.2017.01.096). This article contains essential and practical information surrounding the use of these agents as part of blood conserving strategies for our patients.
